Welcome to Jodhpur Connect. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use our mobile application (the “App”) and jodhpurconnect.com (the “Site”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect information about you in a range of ways when you register or interact with Jodhpur Connect:

  • Account and Profile Data: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive account identifiers and available profile details such as your name, email address, and profile picture. You may add optional profile details, including a phone number, bio, locality, and social usernames.
  • User Content: We store posts, comments, local event listings, job postings, resumes, and short-form video reels that you submit to the platform.
  • Device and Usage Information: We process push-notification tokens, IP addresses, request logs, app version, operating-system information, and crash or performance diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various administrative and service-oriented purposes, including to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Jodhpur Connect mobile community.
  • Display local posts, community reels, jobs, and events based on the content and locality information you choose to provide.
  • Moderate community content, enforce our safety guidelines, and verify user profiles to avoid spam and fraud.
  • Respond to support queries and send administrative updates.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

Jodhpur Connect does not sell your personal data. We only share information under the following limited conditions:

  • Public Forum Access: Any posts, comments, public events, or reels you create are visible to all members of the Jodhpur Connect community. Please do not share private contact details in public posts.
  • Job Applications: Resumes use public object storage and anyone with the file URL may access them. Do not include information you do not want shared.
  • Service Providers: We use providers for Google and Apple sign-in, Expo push notifications, Sentry diagnostics, email support, hosting, databases, and object storage. They process information needed to provide those services under their own terms and privacy commitments.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by local laws or in response to valid requests by public authorities in India.

4. Data Deletion and Account Deactivation

We believe in giving you complete control over your personal data. You can manage or delete your information as follows:

  • Profile Edits: You can edit your profile details directly from the Profile tab in the App.
  • Post Deletion: You can delete any post, comment, or reel you have posted. Once deleted, it will immediately disappear from other users’ feeds.
  • Account Deletion: You can delete your account through Settings or contact support@jodhpurconnect.com. The account and linked content are removed from the active database immediately after in-app confirmation. Uploaded files are queued for deletion and are expected to be removed within 7 business days.

5. Retention After Deletion

De-identified moderation and security records may be retained where needed to prevent abuse, investigate incidents, meet legal obligations, or preserve other members’ conversation continuity. Messages sent to another member may remain in that member’s conversation with your identity removed.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to remove it.

7. Security of Your Information

We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, access controls, and provider-managed social sign-in. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Requests

You can edit profile information, manage notification preferences, remove your content, block members, and delete your account in the App. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion assistance.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the version details in the App settings. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
